What is Biblical Counselling?

Biblical counselling is discipleship based on the Word of God as it's source of wisdom, relies on the Holy Spirit for insight and guidance, within a relationship of trust.

Biblical counselling will help you care for your heart and is a way to grow spiritually. The Bible gives us the very words of the Living God. We are here to help you find Him and His solutions for the challenges you are facing.

How does this process work?

We meet online with video calls for your convenience, starting with an initial intake meeting. From here, we will base our discussions on the Word of God. We will use other resources where helpful and needed. The goal of our time together is for you to be more grounded in the Word of God (2 Tim. 2:15), more mature as a child of God (2 Tim. 3:17), and more equipped for the life in the church of God (Eph. 4:16).

Where do I start?

R&R ministries offers a no-charge 15 minute consultation so that, with you, so that, together, we can find the best fit for your care and counselling needs. Please fill out our contact form to book.

What kind of work can I expect?

You will be assigned key assignments that are tailored to you and your journey. You will need access to a printer and an email account to complete these. We will always include Bible study and prayer but may also suggest other resources.

How do we meet?

Our meetings are conducted via Zoom, which requires a stable internet connection and a device equipped with a microphone and camera to ensure clear communication.

What kind of time commitment is this?

Most counselling processes typically require approximately 6 to 8 sessions. Initial sessions are booked for 2 hours, while all subsequent sessions are approximately 1 hour in length. We can assess progress along the way and determine if additional sessions are needed. Sessions can be scheduled on a weekly or biweekly basis, depending on individual needs and preferences.
